Rev. Matthew L. Taylor,
Pastor
Pastor Matthew L. Taylor accepted the call to the ministry in 1998 during his freshman year at Jackson College of Ministries. He met his wife Haley Deaver in May of 1999 and the couple were married December 18, 1999.
Reverend Taylor graduated from JCM in May of 2000 with a BA in Religious Studies.
Following graduation the Taylors moved to Arab, AL to help build a new church and christian school for New Life Tabernacle. Upon the completion of the project, Brother Taylor accepted a position as Assistant Pastor in Poplarville, MS.
In January of 2002, Brother and Sister Taylor moved to Bowie, TX to serve as interim pastor at Truth Tabernacle while Pastor Bobby Deaver was hospitalized for several months. Upon Pastor Deaver's recovery, Brother Taylor became Assistant Pastor, and then Co-Pastor a few months later.
In February of 2005 Reverend Matthew Taylor was voted in as Senior Pastor of Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, and was formally installed as pastor March 25, 2005.
Pastor and Mrs. Taylor have one adopted daughter, Angelena, who is four years old. They also serve as foster parents for young children through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
